Adoptable Dogs

  • A close-up of a light-colored dog with droopy eyes and a relaxed expression, wearing a brown collar against a blue background.

Pete, 6 Year Old Male Dogo Argentino

Pete is neutered and up to date on vaccines, perfectly trained, loveable companion who’s great with female dogs and does well with male dogs with proper introductions. He’s house and crate trained, spot-on with obedience, and always ready for a hike, a game of fetch, or a cozy movie night.

His goofy bursts of puppy energy mean he’d do best in a home without small kids. Pete was headed to a shelter before we stepped in, and he’s been with us for over a year—though we don’t know why. He’s calm and well-mannered in public, great at down-stays, and loves meeting new friends at the local brewery.

Pete is ready for his forever home—could it be yours?

Beau, 3 year old Male Lab/Shepard Mix

Beau is a lovable 2-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix who was rescued just minutes from euthanasia at a Northern California shelter. Initially labeled as aggressive, he immediately proved that was far from the truth—he melted into our laps, happily allowed baths, and quickly found a forever home. Sadly, he was returned after his adopter lost their home in the Palisades fire.

Beau is thriving in obedience and is a smart, playful, affectionate dog. True to his Lab side, he loves toys, running in the yard, playing with other dogs, and curling up on his pillow for downtime. He can experience mild anxiety in large crowds, around loud noises, or near cars, but he communicates politely when he needs a break and happily retreats to his crate.

Beau does well with female dogs and male dogs with proper introductions. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready for an adopter willing to continue training with Blue Light to ensure a smooth transition into his new home. With guidance and love, Beau will be a loyal, fun, and devoted companion.

Jag, 5 Year Old Male Belgian Malinois

Jag is Jill’s brother and a classic high-energy Belgian Malinois who thrives when he has a job to do. He’s obedience-trained, house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines—ready for an active home that understands working-dog drive.

Jag does best with female dogs or very submissive males, and he’s extremely toy-driven with a big desire to work, train, and burn off energy. Once he’s had his playtime and mental stimulation, he turns into a total cuddlebug who loves affection and downtime with his people.

He would truly excel in a working-dog environment or with an adopter who enjoys training, structure, and lots of activity. Jag is smart, driven, loving, and looking for a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm and heart.

Is Jag the working partner—and companion—you’ve been searching for?

Jill, 5 Year Old Female Belgian Malinois

Jill is a beautifully trained Belgian Malinois with the perfect balance of working-dog drive and a solid off switch. Originally trained to be a service dog for a human-trafficking survivor, the placement unfortunately didn’t work out—but Jill has continued to shine in our care for the past two years.

She’s Spayed and up to date on vaccines, fully obedience-trained, house-trained, crate-trained, and great with all dogs. Jill absolutely loves people and is wonderful with kids, especially families who enjoy an active lifestyle. True to her breed, she has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for hiking, training, and play, but she’s just as happy settling in and relaxing once the work is done.

Jill is loyal, smart, loving, and ready to finally find the home she’s been waiting for. Could she be the perfect match for your family?

    Kevin, Senior Male Chow Mix

Kevin is a wise and affectionate senior dog who was rescued from the backroads of Santa Paula, lured in by his love of playing ball. He would thrive on a ranch or with a family who is happy to welcome an “old man” who enjoys spending his days outside.

Kevin is crate-trained but prefers to sleep outdoors, lounging on the back porch and keeping a watchful eye on his people. He gets along well with female dogs and submissive males and will allow pets once he’s earned your trust—until then, he’s a loyal shadow, quietly following you around the yard.

Healthy, up to date on vaccines, and full of energy for playtime, Kevin is a loving companion who will happily play ball for hours with anyone ready to join him.

Dip, 8 Month Old Male Border Collie

Dip is a smart, energetic 8-month-old Border Collie mix rescued from a ditch at just 4 months old. Despite his rough start—emaciated, wounded, and needing serious socialization—Dip has grown into a trusting, affectionate young dog.

He would thrive in a working dog environment, on a ranch, or with an active hiker who can keep up with his energy and intelligence. Dip does best as the only dog in the home, but he can be adopted with his bonded sister, Dot. He’s up to date on vaccines, at a healthy weight, and ready for a forever home that can provide guidance, stimulation, and love.

Dot is awaiting her spay and is fully vaccinated and at a healthy weight. She will do best with a patient adopter who can provide consistent care, a singular point of trust, and the guidance of a confident K9 companion. With continued training support from Blue Light, Dot has the potential to thrive and become a loyal, playful, and loving family member.
